Afforestation is the establishment of a forest or stand of trees in an area where there was no previous tree cover. Many government and non-governmental organizations directly engage in afforestation programs to create forests and increase carbon capture.
The main goals of afforestation are to serve as a method to reduce atmospheric CO2, increase soil quality, and either avoid or reverse desertification. We at FCP keep conducting constant plantation drives across cities, involving various people and groups. These drives are easily accessible and doable for people and are a simple way to engage them in fruitful conversation towards a healthy planet as well.
